Our Story and Vision for the Future of The Racing HART Foundation
Our Story
Every classic machine has a story. So does every person.
The Racing HART Foundation began with a simple truth: history deserves hands that care about it, and people deserve a place where they feel part of something bigger.
What started as a love for classic motoring became something deeper — a recognition that the act of restoring a machine can reflect the restoration of the human spirit.
A car carries scars, age, and memory… and so do we.
Piece by piece, bolt by bolt, something begins to shift.
Confidence grows.
Purpose returns.
People open up.
We believe that restoring classic machines can help restore people — not because cars fix us, but because the process gives us connection, pride, and a sense of belonging again.
The Racing HART Foundation was built for men who feel alone, young people searching for direction, apprentices needing mentorship, and community members who want to make a meaningful contribution.
This is where craftsmanship becomes healing.
Where mateship becomes medicine.
Where belonging becomes strength.
Our Future
A pillar of restoration — of cars, of culture, and of people.
We see a future where:
apprentices gain direction and dignity
men rediscover hope, brotherhood, and support
volunteers hold lasting recognition as custodians of history
families find a home in our events and community
classic vehicles become living exhibits, moving between museums, shows, and charity events
every restored machine carries the fingerprints and stories of the hands that rebuilt it
Purpose becomes shared.
No one is left behind.
And restoration becomes a way of life.
This is our HART.
Our Vision
A national movement where heritage and humanity meet.
Our vision is to preserve Australia’s motoring history while strengthening mental health by giving people purpose, identity, and pride in the work of their own hands.
We imagine:
apprenticeship programs that change lives
workshops that feel like second homes
men finding brotherhood through honest conversation
heritage cars restored with honour and skill
families coming together at track days, charity cruises, shows, and community events
volunteers recognised publicly for their contributions and impact
a community where everyone has a place, a number, and a legacy
a working museum that inspires, educates, and moves — literally
a not-for-profit built on giving back, lifting people and preserving culture
This is the future we’re building — a community where people and machines are restored together.
