Who we are
HERITAGE AUTOMOTIVE
RESTORATION THERAPY.
That is what H.A.R.T. stands for, and it describes exactly what we are building.
Racing H.A.R.T. is a self-funded, free mental health initiative. We buy and restore cars that are at least 40 years old, using each build to bring people together and create a place where they can feel useful, supported and part of something real.
The car is not the final goal. It starts conversations, builds trust and gives people a reason to keep showing up.
How the mission works
CONNECTION.
BUILT BY HAND.
People do not always need a formal room to open up. Sometimes conversation comes more naturally over an engine bay, a sanding block or a shared drive.
Mentoring and check-ins
Experienced tradespeople, car enthusiasts and mentors create space for honest conversation, guidance and regular human connection.
Drives and community
Mental health drives, community car events and men’s breakfasts bring people together outside the workshop and keep the crew connected.
Skills and pathways
Workshop learning can become real momentum through skill development, volunteering and pathways into apprenticeships and employment.

The KE70 Joker is one of our project cars. It is not the mission by itself. It is a practical meeting place where people can work with their hands, learn new skills, share knowledge and feel that they belong.
Every restored part represents patience, progress and the reminder that what looks forgotten can still have a future.

We are not asking the car community for money. We are asking people to consider giving their time, knowledge or skills.
Mechanics, painters, panel beaters, tradespeople, mentors, car clubs, local businesses and volunteers can all play a part.
